What is Chronic Pain?

Chronic pain is when you have pain every day for at least 3 months.

How many people experience Chronic Pain?

Almost 20% of Australians surveyed had chronic pain. That’s over 5 million Australians!

Highest number: 31% of females aged 80-84, 27% of males aged 65-69.

Most affected by it: 84% of females and 76% of males aged 20-24 with chronic pain said it interfered with their daily lives.

These numbers are growing every year.

Left untreated, it leads to more health problems, including depression, anxiety, as well as affecting daily living.
